Shall be removing the tagboard soon because I'm kind of put off by people who make very brainless and suggestions that are nowhere near constructive.

For those who thinks that they got too much cream/too sweet are those who haven't done their research online. Most cupcakes have huge swirls of frosting and are sweet in nature. If not they'll be called muffins.

Oh and nowhere in here I've mentioned that I'm selling my cupcakes, so I don't require a license either. Hahah.

You don't need license if you sell to people you know, go read up more on newspapers will you? Anyway I'm not going to force you to eat if you think its not nice, its a free world. :D

Of cos I know that there are lots more I can improve on, and I will. I will take all the helpful suggestions that my friends gave, at least they don't criticise blindly. I've only started for less than a month anyway.

Not going to waste time replying those people here, hahaha, I rather make more cupcakes!

Made awfully chocolate cupcakes yesterday for my colleagues, shall post up the photos asap. No designs though, was dead tired when I reached home from tuition yesterday.

Ugly Matcha Cupcakes with Matcha Cream Cheese frosting!

I love all things green tea, so I went to look up for online recipes with matcha in them. (:
These cupcakes are filled with the refreshing goodness of high quality green tea leaves, and are moist inside! (Even though I kept them in the fridge overnight, heh.)

I thought that the cupcake itself wasn't sweet enough, a little on the bland side.
But with the Matcha cream cheese frosting, they taste real good.

This flavour is definitely one of my personal favourites!
And I eat them without the guilt because they are less sweet. Hahah, not as calorie-loaded as compared to others.

But I still can't do nice swirls! -frustrated-
The swirls I do are not consistent at all, they look different for every cupcake. Hahah, never mind, practice makes perfect!

Won't be coming up with new flavours so soon, I want to attempt the highly challenging macarons next.
They're my current obsession!

Made the words blue and yellow, but I couldn't get the shade of AJ blue. And my chinese wordings are damn ugly.
Oh well, what can you expect, I've got shaky hands. :D

Since I had lots of blue and yellow royal icing left over, I made these:

for Earnest since he ordered half dozen from us. Think he wouldn't mind since he's so pro-AJ. HAHAHA.

I attempted the nutella cupcakes again today, for hj who loves nutella like crazy. (:
I think I did a very good job packaging the cupcakes! Hahaha, it doesn't hurt to be a little ego sometimes. :p

Anyway! Here're the nutella cupcakes!

They're best eaten straight from the oven. Crisp cupcake top with warm, gooey nutella centre!
I didn't decorate them because I think they look better plain like this.
Decorations are still available on request for these cupcakes, though!

I made extras, bringing them to work tomorrow! Happy. :D

Shall be back soon with matcha/apple pie cupcakes this weekend!

P.S. The super nice boxes are available for one or four cupcakes upon request. I will just charge for the cost price of the boxes. (:

P.P.S All the pink colour decorations are 100% edible. Available in blue, purple, yellow and red as well.

Ultra chocolatey and sinful...

I decided not to make the oatmeal raisin cookies afterall. And since weekend is nearing, I decided to bake something sinful for my friends to enjoy over the weekends! (:

For the ultimate chocolate lovers,

UGLY CUPCAKES proudly presents our very own brownie cupcake with cadbury milk chocolate glaze! :D

And here's a picture of a naked brownie cupcake, before I frosted it:

For the brownie mix, I added in unsweetened Hershey's chocolate bar for an intense flavour. (:
Don't worry though, it's nice and sweet still! Perfect for the sweet tooth in you.

The rich aroma of chocolate of fills your mouth at the very first bite, and it just gets more delightful with every bite you take.

The cadbury milk chocolate glaze adds on to the sweetness and gives you the most wonderful chocolate experience ever!
If you don't like your brownies to be too sweet, we offer the option of dark chocolate glaze as well.

And I decorated them with malteaser chocolate balls to give the brownie cupcake different dimensions of chocolate flavours. :D

Haven't decide whether I will be putting these up for sale, ingredients are rather costly.
Most probably will sell them only if orders are more than half a dozen, at $2.50 each.
I use good quality ingredients okay. Hahaha.

Pretty Cupcakes

I'm pretty happy with the batch of cupcakes I've made today, they turned out better than expected. :D
Shall upload some nice photos of them!

Nothing much to talk about though, cos they aren't new flavours. Heh.

Some are topped with dark chocolate ganache, made with chocolates of 60% cocoa solids. That's why the colour is really dark and unlike the normal chocolate coating.

Its not too bitter and complements the sweetness of the cupcakes well. (:

Hope those who get this batch of cupcakes will be happy with what I made!
They're by far the batch that I'm most satisfied with. Heh.

Many thanks to everyone who ordered and allowed me to play around with the designs as well. Hahah, hope my cupcakes didn't disappoint you all too much.

Raspberry Swirl Cheese Cupcakes

Tantalising raspberry swirl cheese cupcake!

Most of the time, when you buy cheesecakes, they come in a huge size and you take ages to finish it.
This cheese cupcake is bound to leave you wanting more. And it doesn't make you too full either, perfect as an after-dinner dessert!

Made with Australian cream cheese and top quality raspberry puree. :D
The oreo cookie base makes the cheesecake less sweet, so you don't have to worry about it being too sweet. (I ran out of oreos after I finished making half the batch, the photo above has digestive biscuit base instead. :p)

The hint of raspberry makes these tiny cheesecakes irresistable!
I was really lucky to get the raspberry puree too, redman just re-stocked them on the day I went. :D

You can order them too, but I'll only make them if orders are half dozen and above ya? (:

Rocky Road Marshmallow Cupcakes!

A sneak preview of rocky road cupcakes! :D Because I haven't really gotten down to making the actual one. Hahaha, this one is a mocha double chocolate, disguised as a rocky road flavour.
